Summary of Experience
My career has mainly focused on the Network and Security sides of AT&T. My areas of expertise involve Network Management, forecasting, engineering, course development and training instruction supporting Network curriculums, domestic and international. I have excellent verbal and presentation skills, strong organizational skills, while applying project management techniques in managing daily challenges.
Current Responsibilities
AT&T Network Security - responsibilities include conducting Logical Assessments, working as a single point of contact for the company-wide Security Evaluation Program, running security tools such as network scanning (Foundscan & ISS), web application scanning (Appscan – Watchfire) along with database and router scans.
Major Skills and Accomplishments
- Perform Logical Security Assessments on applications/systems.
- Security Tool Team lead
- Conducted Physical Security Assessments on several AT&T properties both domestic and international sites.
- Interface with installation suppliers, AT&T engineering and work centers to ensure compliance with AT&T specifications.
- Responsible for the design and implementation of the Global Joint Ventures Network Management Certification program. This program included certification for the NM personnel along with their NM Centers.
- Instructed domestically and internationally for eight (8) years supporting Network courses involving Frame Relay, ATM, S7 Signaling, Satellite Communications, also Digital and Packet Technologies. Also wrote and co-wrote several digital technologies courses.
- Supervised in the capacity of Network Manager, personally working on the NM console, insuring professional skills and knowledge work expertise.
- Database Supervisor/System Administrator for the NM systems EADAS and RNMS - which included being the "beta" test sites for several NM systems including FTS (Federal Telephone System).
- Performed actively in a Technical Support function at the NOC (Network Operations Center) in New Jersey on the Services console.
- Worked in a collaborative effort with building engineers, in the construction design of two major Network Centers – Kansas City, MO and Denver, CO. Implemented turn-up of both Network Centers.
- Highly rated throughout career (role model).
